SHIPS ANCHORED IN FOG 2021
[EN] Ships Anchored in Fog is a series of 9 self-portraits visually inspired by statues from classical Antiquity. These photographs translate into dance certain aspects of the mathematical set theory. Through the reinterpretation of the chosen statues, the uniqueness and the irreproducibility of the movement (sort of rite of passage) become static choreography which ally the idea of the sublime in art and of infinite sets.
The first photo of this series is now up for sale for the price of 120 euro. Only 12 certified copies of this image will be printed and sold. Each photo is signed and numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity. For more information, contact me at info@alinanoir.com

Ces photographies transposent en danse certains aspects de la théorie mathématique des ensembles. Dans la réinterprétation de statues choisies comme point de départ des gestes dansés, l’unicité et l’irreproductibilité du mouvement, sorte de rite initiatique, aboutissent à une chorégraphie qui allie l’idée de sublime de l’art et d’existence d’ensembles infinis.
