PHAEDRA 2020

[EN] Phaedra is a performance loosely inspired by the myth of Phaedra (a woman, hurt, stares at a man who doesn’t see her). This choreographic work deals with the limits of knowledge through physical senses, and the symbolic limits of language. For this first version of Phaedra I found inspiration in my personal life at that precise moment in time: while creating it I was suffering from a double fracture ("a woman, hurt") and my partner was visually impaired ("a man who doesn't see her"). I thus interpreted in dance the primary meaning of the words "hurt" and "see".

[FR] Phaedra est une performance librement inspirée par le mythe de Phèdre (une femme, blessée, regarde un homme qui ne la voit pas). Cette chorégraphie traite des limites de la connaissances à travers les sens physiques, ainsi que des limites symboliques du langage. Pour cette première version de Phaedra j'ai puisé dans mon propre vécu à ce moment précis: lors de cette création je souffrais d'une double fracture ("une femme, blessée") et mon partenaire était malvoyant ("un homme qui ne la voit pas"). J'ai ainsi exploré en danse la signification primaire des morts "blessé(e)" et "voir".
